When bidders start the BidLive desktop application, a series of internal checks begin to ensure their computer is capable of running the program. These automated checks reduce or eliminate support issues right from the start.  If problems are found, BidLive will walk them through the necessary steps to prepare their system.  If the computer is ready, they are prompted to securely login to the Alliance Commerce secure server. For security purposes, a limited time is allotted for login.

Depending upon the status designated by the auction house for each registrant  (active or inactive), access may be permitted or denied at login. Optionally, visitors may select to observe the auction event. Bidding is not permitted as an observer. This feature assists the auction house by including everyone in the auction event while concurrently generating additional leads for future qualified bidders.
